01/04/09 - Website goes live
The website finally was launched today. Many more features to be
introduced and completed as the countdown to the festival continues.
31/03/09 - Sponsorship
The
Paisley Beer Festival is now in it’s 22nd year. 4,000 visitors are
expected in 2009 and becoming a supporter of the festival through one
of the sponsorship options represents excellent value and maximum local
exposure.
For only £60 you can sponsor a cask, your company
name will be displayed on the cask and next to the beer listing on the
website and the program. You also receive 2 entrance tickets to the
festival.
For this price you do not even have to be
promoting a business, you might want to send a loved one a message in a
very original way (keep it clean) or wish your mate happy birthday.
If
you want to take advantage of this offer fill out the enclosed form. If
you need more than one cask, get in touch for a discount.
You
can also sponsor one of our bars for only £200. You will have you
company’s message on a PVC banner across the bar and get 4 free
entrance tickets, again this is a great bargain. See the attached
sponsorship form for more details or contact
Danny
We
are also looking for a glass sponsor, this is a unique opportunity to
have your company logo on over 3,000 glasses which are prized by
festival goers some have lasted for over twenty years. If you are
interested please contact
Danny.
30/03/09 - Calling all CAMRA members!!!!
The festival can only take place with a healthy number of volunteers.
NO VOLUNTEERS = NO FESTIVAL
It is that simple.
Please get in touch with
Derek
and let him know when you will be available to help.
Monday
to Wednesday opening time is mainly unloading and setting up the
various bars. During opening time most of the work is serving behind
the bar or selling programmes and glasses at the front desk. We always
try to put volunteers where they are most comfortable or if they want
to learn a new area there will be someone there to show you the ropes.
If
you have helped out at previous festivals we are sure you will agree
that that it is good fun and all the hard work is really worthwhile. If
this is your first festival volunteering we are sure you will enjoy
finding out how it all comes together and the “occasional” beer breaks.
Not a CAMRA member
This
is a perfect time to join CAMRA, not only does it mean you get a chance
help out at Paisley, but you will be joining the campaign at a crucial
point for UK beer drinkers. CAMRA is at the forefront of highlighting
the issue of pub closures and the excessive tax being levied on beer.
When you join you also get a monthly newspaper, promotional discount
offers, reduced entrance to CAMRA beer festivals and the chance to have
your voice heard at Branch Meetings. Join CAMRA at the national website
or sign up at the front door at the beer festival.
